Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
System details
Omarchy 3.x? -> 3.1.1
What's wrong?
After updating, I typed in my password and the screen went into powersave instead of opening the desktop.
hyprland would launch from one of the other terminals (CTRL+ALT+Fx) but launchers wouldn't work
restarting sddm seemed to work.
I eventually found that removing my call to keychain in my .bashrc let the system work again. I assume something was hanging on the password prompt for my ssh key, but it would be nice if the system was able to boot successfully as it did before the update.
I've switched from:
eval $(keychain -q --eval id_ed25519)to:
if [[ $- == *i* ]]; then
eval $(keychain -q --eval id_ed25519)
else
eval $(keychain -q --noask --eval id_ed25519)
fiI'm not sure what version I was on before. I got asked about a new default keychain (accepted), a nvim conf update (rejected), and the SUPER+SHIFT+B shortcut update were included.
