iwd stuck connecting after passphrase

Macbook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013/Mid 2014), Intel Core i5-4278U, Integrated Graphics, 7.66 GiB Memory, Omarchy 3.1.3
What's wrong?
For context, I was running arch with hyprland before trying omarchy and networkmanager worked fine for connecting to wifi. So this issue seems to be an iwd issue specifically. If you determine this is not an omarchy issue, I will open an issue there.
When trying to connect to a new network with impala, the device becomes stuck on connecting until restarting iwd which returns it to disconnected. I was also unable to connect through the iwd cli.
I was able to connect by running iwctl --passphrase <passphrase> station <device> connect <SSID>
P.S. Loving the look and feel so far. I didn't feel like setting all my desktop dotfiles up on my laptop so omarchy was perfect for me. Keep up the good work! :)
