Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

SUPER ALT + RIGHT: This is a default shortcut for two independent Omarchy actionsrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:42 UTC via poll

System details

Omarchy 3.2.0

What's wrong?

If you go to the Omarchy menus keyboard shortcuts Super+Alt+Space > Learn > Keybindings then search SUPER ALT + RIGHT you'll see this keyboard shortcut has two independent functions:

  1. Moved grouped window focus right

\- and -
2. Move window to the group on the right

I suggest SUPER ALT + RIGHT should only be a shortcut for item #1, and change item #2 to a different keyboard shortcut, perhaps SUPER SHIFT ALT + RIGHT. The only problem is SUPER SHIFT ALT + RIGHT is already assigned to 'Move workspace to right monitor', so you'd have to change that action to SUPER CTRL SHIFT ALT + RIGHT.

All of the above is also true for SUPER ALT + LEFT, and the same changes would need to be made to correct this oversight.
