Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Screen recording output is heavily corrupted / unreadablerevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:42 UTC via poll

System details

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile, Omarchy 3.2

What's wrong?

Screen recordings produced on the system result in completely corrupted video output.
The generated .mp4 file cannot be viewed normally — instead, it displays as a noisy, pixel-scrambled image (similar to heavy dithering or VRAM corruption). The actual screen content is not recognizable at all.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a screen recording
  2. Stop the recording.
  3. Open the generated video file.
  4. Observe that the content is unreadable.
