Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Omarchy 3.2.0

What's wrong?

The Issue:

The Toggle popping window into sticky'n'floating feature initiated with Super + O worked great in Omarchy v3.1.7. As of Omarchy v3.2.0 there's been two new issues associated with this feature:

  1. The popout works fine, but popping back in takes two presses of Super + O to pop back in
  2. When the window pops back in, symmetry is lost, and the pop in ratio is odd (best seen by trying it yourself)

A Minor Opiniated Preference:

The rounded corners of the popped out windows have also converted to square corners as of Omarchy v3.2.0. I preferred the rounded corners as a visual indicator that a popped out window is distinct from a default auto-tiled window. For those with this preference, adding this window rule to /.config/hypr/hyprland.conf changes the popped out window corners back to rounded:

windowrulev2 = rounding 20, floating:1
