Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
Firefox menus and extension popups open in the center of the screen instead of from the toolbar

System details
Intel i5-8265U, GeForce MX250, 8GB RAM
What's wrong?
On omarchy, Firefox displays incorrect popup/menu placement after a few minutes of use.
Initially, after launching Firefox, menus behave correctly:
- Hamburger menu opens from the top-right button
- Extensions menu opens from the toolbar
- Bookmark and overflow panels anchor to interface elements
However, after some time (usually 2–5 minutes), all Firefox popups suddenly start appearing in the center of the screen, detached from the toolbar. Affected UI elements:
- Main Firefox application menu
- Extensions button menu
- Bookmarks toolbar popups
Hyprland treats Firefox Wayland popup surfaces (XDG_POPUP) as independent floating windows and centers them. They are no longer positioned relative to the Firefox window.

repeats until Firefox is restarted.
