Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Windows VM does not launch after updaterevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:49 UTC via poll

System details

What's wrong?

After the update to Omarchy's new version, there is a problem where the omarchy-windows-vm command hangs on launch, even though the VM is running. As you can see in the screenshot, the status function get's information about the VM running and I can actually see the Windows desktop in the browser at the web interface link. However, when I run the launch function, it just hangs there with the message "Waiting for Windows VM to be ready".

I have already tried to resync hypr's config using the omarchy-restart-hypr, I deleted and reinstalled the Windows VM using the menu and restarting the computer several times.
