Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Omarchy 3.3.3

What's wrong?

On Hyprland 0.53, only anonymous windowrules can override other anonymous windowrules. Since all the default windowrules in ~/.local/share/omarchy/default/hypr/ are written using anonymous windowrule, users can only use anonymous windowrule to override them. I think a better approach is to use named windowrule for all the default rules, so that users can use whichever type of windowrules they like.

I don't see anonymous rules taking precedent mentioned anywhere in the hyprland wiki, but I can confirm other users are experiencing this.
