ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Right-side plugin click offset issue persists after updating to Omarchy 4.0.4-1revision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:23 UTC via poll

System details

Ryzen 5600x with 3060 12gb and 32 gb ram

What's wrong?

The right-side plugin click/input offset issue is still present after updating to the latest Omarchy release.

The visual position of the plugins appears correct, but the mouse click/input area is not consistently aligned with the displayed plugin icons. In some cases, I have to click slightly away from the visible icon for the action to register.

This issue was already present before the update and appears to have not been fully resolved after updating to Omarchy 4.0.4-1.

Current System

  • OS: Omarchy 4.0.4-1
  • Channel: stable
  • Kernel: Linux 7.2.5-3-omarchy
  • Hyprland: 0.56.2
  • Wayland
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 LHR
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Display: 1920x1080, 144 Hz
  • Monitor: 24" external
  • Theme: Catppuccin
  • Kitty: 0.48.2

Update Information

The system was updated on September 16, 2026 at approximately 03:40.

After the update and a full reboot, the click-offset issue still occurs.

Expected Behavior

The clickable/input area of each right-side plugin should match its visible UI element exactly.

For example:

[ visible plugin icon ]
        ↑

The click should register directly on the visible icon/button.

Actual Behavior

The plugin is visually positioned correctly, but its clickable/input region can be offset from the visible element.

This makes the plugin feel as if the click target is shifted relative to the UI.

Reproduction
Boot into Omarchy.
Wait for the shell/status bar to fully load.
Move the cursor over the affected right-side plugin.
Click directly on the visible plugin icon.
The action may not register.
Clicking slightly offset from the visible icon can register the action.

Restarting the Omarchy shell can temporarily affect the behavior, but the underlying issue is not reliably resolved.

Affected Area

The issue appears to affect plugins on the right side of the bar, including plugins such as:

System Tray
Agents
Tailscale
Dropbox
Audio/Speaker

The exact affected plugin can vary, but the common symptom is the same: the visual position and mouse input region do not appear to be perfectly aligned.

Additional Information

This appears to be an input/geometry/hit-testing issue rather than a visual positioning issue.

The icons themselves are rendered in the expected position; the problem is that the mouse interaction area appears to use a different coordinate/geometry position.

The issue remains reproducible after updating to Omarchy 4.0.4-1 and rebooting.

If needed, I can provide logs, hyprctl output, Quickshell logs, or a screen recording demonstrating the offset.
