Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
Lock screen (hyprlock) doesn't fit screen when monitor scaling is applied

System details

What's wrong?
Issue
The lock screen (hyprlock) applies monitor scaling settings from monitors.conf, causing the UI to become oversized and extend beyond the screen boundaries. Since the lock screen is fullscreen, it should ignore scaling and render at native resolution.
## Steps to reproduce
1. Set monitor scaling to 1.6x or 2x in ~/.config/hypr/monitors.conf:
monitor = DP-2, 3440x1440@175, 1080x480, 1.6
2. Lock the screen with Super + Ctrl + L or wait for auto-lock
3. Observe that the lock screen UI is too large and doesn't fit within the screen
4. It might not be apparent on a landscape monitor, but it's obvious at portrait orientation (see image). At regular scale the "Omarchy" text fits the screen even on portrait mode.
## Expected behavior
The lock screen should ignore monitor scaling settings and render at 1:1 scale since it's a fullscreen overlay. Scaling is meant for desktop UI elements, not fullscreen surfaces.
## Current workaround
None known - parts of the lock
screen UI are cut off on scaled displays.
