Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details
Lenovo Yoga C940, Intel Core i7-1065G7, Intel Iris Plus Graphics, Omarchy 3.3.3 master stable
What's wrong?
I have my laptop connected to two other monitors. and I am using a TUI interface which updates my monitor config file for me (https://github.com/Dan-Kingsley/display-tui), but I was seeing the same issues before I was using the TUI and I was manually updating the config myself. When I plug my monitors in, they do not default to the last known position and setup of that monitor, they default to stacking from left to right (See images below). Then when I reorganise the windows. the monitors get correctly positioned, but the contents of what was on that window (either floating windows, waybar or the background) stay positioned where they were origanlly located until I open the omarchy menu. then they snap to their correct location (except for the floating windows, they stay incorrectly positioned)
Default positioning

How I want them set up
<img width="887" height="613" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/98f7f44f-eec0-4050-a50b-cf4a9ecf8d57" />
I guess there is two bugs here:
1. Monitors do not remember where they were last positioned in virtual space, something like the serial number of the monitor could be used to identify this.
2. When you move a monitor the position of the contents does not move with the monitor until I open the Omarchy menus
Is this a Hyprland issue or an Omarchy Issue, I dont think it has anything to do with the display-tui I am using as I have seen the same issue before I started using it?
