Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Omarchy 3.3.4

What's wrong?

Installations from AUR via the Omarchy Menu default to the omarchy repository

The visual-studio-code-bin package on the omarchy repository is outdated, which lead to to following error:

<img width="924" height="236" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0d985114-aa3e-436d-baca-98fc97fe5423" />

The AUR package is newer, however installing it through the Omarchy menu defaults again to using the omarchy version again.

Hotfix

Uninstall visual-studio-code-bin and install it again with yay -S --noconfirm aur/visual-studio-code-bin

Actual Bug

The issue is that the used yay -S ... defaults to using omarchy instead of aur for the repository if there is a package with the same name across different repositories.
