Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

Omarchy 3.4.1

What's wrong?

Summary
After the recent Omarchy/Hyprland update, the mouse cursor renders as a solid black square whenever it is moved onto my secondary portrait monitor. The cursor remains normal on my primary landscape monitor.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Update Omarchy to the latest version (including Hyprland).

  1. Set a secondary monitor to portrait mode (e.g., transform, 1 or transform, 3 in monitors.conf).
  1. Move the cursor from the primary landscape monitor to the portrait monitor.

Expected Behavior
The cursor should maintain its themed appearance and correct orientation on both monitors.

Actual Behavior
The cursor immediately becomes a black square upon entering the workspace of the portrait-oriented monitor.
