screen recording not really working after upgrading to v3.4.1

What's wrong?
When I use screen recording to record a region:
the resulting video file doesn't seem to load (all black)
When I use screen recording to record an entire window:
the resulting video file is not clean (I see lots of flickering in the recording) and is also way too big - around 40s of recording ends up in almost 200MB file.
I have attached a video of the recording of a region. I can't upload a video of a window because it's too big.
This started happening after upgrading to Omarchy to 3.4
