What's wrong?
With recent omarchy updates I've noticed that the LED at the side of my laptop is not pulsating slowly like it used to when I close the lid. And the battery drained marginally faster.
Eventually I figured that this update: linux-firmware-other (20260110-1 -> 20260221-1) is causing the issue.
I'm pretty sure that the issue is not with omarchy itself.
Hope this issue will help other with the same hardware to solve their laptops insomnia faster.
How I solved it:
- Install
downgradefrom aur:
yay -S downgrade- Downgrade firmware package:
sudo downgrade linux-firmware-otherwhen prompted pick either locally cached package:linux-firmware-other 20260110 1 /var/cache/pacman/pkg 2026-02-06
