Original report
Bug
After upgrading to v3.4.0, Super+Ctrl+Backspace still triggers Toggle single-window square aspect instead of Cycle monitor scaling as listed in the changelog.
Expected (from v3.4.0 changelog)
Super+Ctrl+Backspace→ cycle monitor scaling (1x → 1.6x → 2x → 3x)Super+Ctrl+Alt+Backspace→ toggle single-window square aspect ratio
Actual
Super+Ctrl+Backspace→ toggle single-window square aspect ratio (old behaviour)Super+Ctrl+Alt+Backspace→ unbound
Root cause
~/.local/share/omarchy/default/hypr/bindings/utilities.conf was not updated. It still contains:
bindd = SUPER CTRL, BACKSPACE, Toggle single-window square aspect, exec, omarchy-hyprland-window-single-square-aspect-toggleThe omarchy-hyprland-monitor-scaling-cycle script was added to bin/ correctly, but the default binding was never reassigned. Users who ran omarchy-update get the script but the wrong key.
Fix needed
Update default/hypr/bindings/utilities.conf:
bindd = SUPER CTRL, BACKSPACE, Cycle monitor scaling, exec, omarchy-hyprland-monitor-scaling-cycle
bindd = SUPER CTRL ALT, BACKSPACE, Toggle single-window square aspect, exec, omarchy-hyprland-window-single-square-aspect-toggleA migration may also be needed so existing users who haven't overridden the binding get it corrected automatically.
