Hyprland crashes frequently (25+ times in 3 days), showing safe mode. Crash occurs during normal desktop usage.

  • Hyprland: 0.54.2
  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8570 / R5 430 OEM (Oland, GCN 1st gen)
  • Monitor: Dell DELL P2319H (1920x1080 @ 60Hz, DP-1)

Issue

Hyprland crashes frequently (25+ times in 3 days), showing safe mode. Crash occurs during normal desktop usage.

ERR from aquamarine ]: [EGL] Command eglDupNativeFenceFDANDROID errored out with EGL_BAD_PARAMETER (0x12300): eglDupNativeFenceFDANDROID

Crash Location

  • CHyprOpenGLImpl::begin()
  • CPointerManager::renderHWCursorBuffer()

Trigger

DRM device changes (monitor hotplug events):

udev: new udev change event for card1
drm: Got a hotplug event for /dev/dri/card1
