Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?
Last week I installed Omarchy on my custom built home desktop. Besides having to manually partition for a dual boot config with Windows, and initial resolution issues with my 4k ultra wide monitor, which I eventually solved I'd say smooth sailing, and I'm honestly loving it.
During installation, I ran iwctl connecting to my home wifi, which has been working great so far.
Today I saw an update icon on the waybar at the top, clicked on it, update started and took a few minutes.
A reboot was suggested, but I was finishing some work, so I said "no" in the moment, and when I tried to hit "SUPER+ESC" later on, the screen turned white instead of showing System menu TUI overlay. I tried to open a terminal with key shortcut and it flashed opening and instantly closing. The shortcut to open apps had the same white-screen effect, so I had no other choice than long-pressing power button to shut the system down.
Lo and behold, when I logged back in: I had no internet.
The Impala TUI said:
Can not access the iwd service: No adapter foundAs the title mentions, running iwctl and then device list shows an empty table.
What truly worries me is that I rebooted on to Windows and to my surprise: same thing there!
The system does not show any WiFi device.
I shut down the PC, and turned it on, but same thing was still happening.
Started googling for "arch iwctl device list empty" and came across issues during installation, or things like this:
https://github.com/basecamp/omarchy/issues/4329
Where the problem seemed transient. I tried proposed solutions like systemctl restart iwd and it had no effect, I tried checking rfkill, but this last only shows bluetooth device. Tried seeing what lspci says but there simply is no device there.
EDIT: also tried this:
https://learn.omacom.io/2/the-omarchy-manual/88/troubleshooting
But omarchy-snapshot restore shows an empty list. Guide says snapshots are always created before an update.
Apologies if this was a hasty bug submit but I did run some search before opening it and as I said there are similar issues, but not exactly the same. Also: I am honestly worried, since he wifi is also disabled/not working on Windows. At this point since it's a bulky desktop and can't be near the router, without wifi, it's a glorified cup holder/warmer.
EDIT #2: I am now able to connect via USB tethering so I can at least upload command results from here.
Any help is appreciated, can gather more info upon request, just suggest
