Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report

Screen recording: add optional max durationrevision 1 · captured 2026-10-04 11:56 UTC via poll

Currently Alt+Print → Screenrecord starts an open-ended recording that must be manually stopped with the same hotkey. I keep forgetting to turn it off and ending up with huge files.

Proposal: add a Max duration submenu after the audio selection (e.g. 15min / 30min / 1h / 2h / Unlimited). "Unlimited" preserves today's behavior and stays the default-friendly path. When a duration is chosen, schedule an auto-stop tied to the recorder's PID (so it can't accidentally stop a later recording if the user manual-stops and restarts).
