Laptop doesn't sleep when lid closed.

What's wrong?
My laptop used to sleep when I closed the lid earlier, but it no longer sleeps now, IDK if it's an update that caused this or the power profile, I have tried all three power profile but it doesn't sleep on any.
logind is configured properly:
HandlePowerKey=suspend
HandleLidSwitch=suspend
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=suspend
pressing power button does suspend the laptop but the lid doens't work
I really need this to work.
