Password screen loop after update to 3.8.4

What's wrong?
After updating to 3.8.4 (from 3.8.2), seems ok
reboot because of linux kernel update
All fine until password screen
Loading omarchy
At the end of loading, instead of home screen, back to a password screen (slightly different) (at this point keyboard is changed from azerty to qwerty)
Then flashes back all the time to the password screen after password entering, never starts hyprland
trying to start Hyprland from TTY fails too, crash log is beyond my understanding. What looks relevant is the mentions of Aquamarine, and the line: atomic drm request: failed to commit: invalid argument
Will snapshot back to 3.8.2 for now. Not sure about this, looks like it's more a Hyprland issue?
