Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details

MacBook Pro 16-inch 2019 (T2)

What's wrong?

The script invokes:

sudo ls -1 /sys/class/backlight 2>/dev/null | head -n1
appletb_backlight

But on a T2 machine with the most recent t2bce driver the following backlight are available:

~ ❯ ls /sys/class/backlight
Permissions Size User Date Modified Name
lrwxrwxrwx     - root  5 Aug 17:04   appletb_backlight -> ../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/0000:04:00.1/t2bce_core/t2bce_core/t2bce_vhci/usb9/9-7/9-7:1.0/0003:05AC:8102.000D/backlight/appletb_backlight
lrwxrwxrwx     - root  5 Aug 17:04   gmux_backlight -> ../../devices/pnp0/00:00/backlight/gmux_backlight

This will cause the brightness controls (keyboard and via the new brightness bar) to act on the touchbar instead of the internal display brightness

Add gmux_backlight to:

or

should fix this problem (tested locally)

should fix this problem (tested locally)
