Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?

Follow up to #6559 - update fix-t2.sh and ‎migrations/1785944594.sh to not use grep -q

The following

if ! lspci -nn | grep -q "106b:180[12]"; then
  exit 0
fi

would cause the t2-fix and migration to exit prematurely probably due to pipefail.

For example:

~ ❯ set -o pipefail
~ ❯ lspci -nn | grep -q "106b:180[12]"; echo $?
141

~ ❯ lspci -nn | grep "106b:180[12]"; echo $?
04:00.1 Non-VGA unclassified device [0000]: Apple Inc. T2 Bridge Controller [106b:1801] (rev 01)
04:00.2 Non-VGA unclassified device [0000]: Apple Inc. T2 Secure Enclave Processor [106b:1802] (rev 01)
0

~ ❯ lspci -nn | grep "106b:180[12]" > /dev/null; echo $?
0

~ ❯ lspci -nn | grep "aaa" > /dev/null; echo $?
1

~ ❯

The fix is simply redirect to /dev/null:

if ! lspci -nn | grep "106b:180[12]" > /dev/null; then
  exit 0
fi
