Original report
System details
Omarchy 4.0.0 (Quattro)
What's wrong?
Editing a plugin under ~/.config/omarchy/plugins briefly freezes the shell because every plugin reloads, including unrelated services, panels, and bar widgets.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable a local shell plugin.
- Edit one of its QML files.
- Observe the shell and unrelated plugins.
Expected: Only the changed plugin reloads.
Actual: The entire plugin system reloads, causing a noticeable pause and resetting unrelated plugin state.
The plugin watcher identifies which plugin changed, but the shell handles the event as a full reload.
