Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happened
Right-clicking an image in Files (Nautilus) and choosing "Set as Wallpaper" has no visible effect on the desktop background.
Root cause
Nautilus's built-in "Set as Wallpaper" action only writes to the GNOME gsettings key org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri (confirmed via gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri, which still pointed at the stock Adwaita background after using the context menu). Omarchy's actual background is managed independently by omarchy-shell / omarchy-theme-bg-set, symlinked at ~/.local/state/omarchy/current/background. Nothing in Omarchy reads the GNOME gsettings key, so the action silently no-ops.
Expected
Either the context menu action should be hooked up to Omarchy's background system (e.g. via a Nautilus script/extension calling omarchy-theme-bg-set), or the stock "Set as Wallpaper" entry should be hidden/disabled since it doesn't function in this environment.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open Files, navigate to any image.
2. Right-click → "Set as Wallpaper".
3. Observe: desktop background is unchanged.
Workaroundomarchy-theme-bg-set /path/to/image.jpg, or copy the image into ~/.config/omarchy/backgrounds/<theme>/ and use the background switcher.
System
