What's wrong?
Description:
The system successfully enters sleep/suspend mode, but it is unable to wake up. Upon attempting to resume, the
screen remains black, and the system appears unresponsive, requiring a hard reboot.
Details:
- System enters sleep state normally.
- Wake-up triggers (power button, keyboard, lid open) do not restore the display.
- No output is visible on the screen during the wake attempt.
Attempts to Fix:
- Attempted to enable NVIDIA sleep and hibernation services (nvidia-suspend.service, nvidia-hibernate.service,
nvidia-resume.service).
Environment:
- Host: ASUS TUF Gaming F17 (FX707VI)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile (Driver: 610.57.04 open source)
- Kernel: 7.2.5-3-omarchy
- WM: Hyprland 0.56.2 (Wayland)
- OS: Omarchy v4.0.4
Expected Behavior:
The system should wake up from suspend and restore the Hyprland session and display.
Actual Behavior:
Permanent black screen upon wake attempt; requires hard reset.
