# Installation fails on Lenovo Ideapad Z50-70 with black screen during boot

## Environment
- **Hardware:** Lenovo Ideapad Z50-75 (Model 80EC)
- **CPU:** AMD FX-7500 Radeon R7
- **RAM:** 8GB
- **OS:** Windows 10 Home (build 19045)
- **BIOS:** LENOVO MCNA43W (V 2.12) - January 18, 2018
- **Boot method:** Ventoy + Omarchy ISO 4.0.1
- **Linux experience:** Beginner

## Description
Unable to complete Omarchy installation on Lenovo Z50-70. The system boots from USB with Ventoy but encounters a black screen during kernel initialization, making the installer inaccessible. Hardware is ~9 years old but should be compatible with Omarchy.

## Steps to Reproduce
1. Flash Omarchy 4.0.1 ISO to Ventoy USB
2. Boot from USB (F12 boot menu works correctly)
3. Select "Boot in normal mode" from Ventoy menu
4. Kernel starts loading and displays error messages

## Expected Behavior
- Installer should load with configuration prompts (keyboard layout, username, password, disk selection)
- Installation should complete successfully
- System should boot into Omarchy after installation

## Actual Behavior
1. **BIOS Setup Issue:** Pressing F2 to enter BIOS immediately triggers black screen (display output lost)
   - Only F12 boot menu works properly
   - BIOS configuration is inaccessible due to video driver issues

2. **Boot Process:** 
   - Kernel messages appear with warnings:
     ```

     ```
   - Followed by complete black screen
   - No further output or installer prompt visible
   - System appears to freeze or hang

3. **Video Output Problem:**
   - Text is barely visible (very faint or completely black background)
   - Monitor receives no signal for BIOS or during boot
   - Display output appears to be lost during kernel initialization

## Attempted Solutions
- ✅ Created bootable USB with Balena Etcher
- ✅ Disabled Secure Boot (BIOS settings, though difficult to access)
- ✅ Attempted TPM disable (BIOS access problematic)
- ✅ Tried Ventoy instead of direct ISO flash
- ✅ Waited 20+ seconds during black screen phase
- ✅ Attempted to respond "blind" to installer prompts
- ❌ BIOS update attempted but unable to complete on this system

## Additional Context
- Z50-70 is from 2015 with older AMD graphics driver support
- BIOS is 6+ years old; newer BIOS versions exist but update process is blocked
- Secure Boot/TPM disable appears to have partial effect (only F12 boot menu works)
- Similar reports in community Discord suggest this is a known issue on older Lenovo hardware

## Questions
1. Is Omarchy designed to support hardware older than ~2016?
2. Are there boot parameters (e.g., `nomodeset`, `noapic`) that could help with this legacy hardware?
3. Is there a workaround for systems with problematic BIOS video output?
4. Would a headless install or unattended install mode help bypass the video issue?
