Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happened
Pressing the default keybind SUPER + CTRL + P (bound to omarchy-shell shell toggle omarchy.power) does nothing visible, the power panel never appears.
Running the underlying command manually also produces no visible panel:
omarchy-shell shell toggle omarchy.powerThe Quickshell process log shows a QML binding loop at the moment of toggling:
WARN scene: QML Panel at file:///usr/share/omarchy/shell/plugins/panels/power/Panel.qml[9:1]: Binding loop detected for property "opened":Expected
The power panel (shutdown/reboot/logout/suspend menu) should open.
Steps to reproduce
- Fresh Omarchy 4.0.2-1 install/session.
- Press
SUPER + CTRL + P(or runomarchy-shell shell toggle omarchy.powerdirectly). - Nothing opens. Check
journalctl --user _PID=<quickshell pid>around that moment, see the binding-loop warning onPanel.qml[9:1]for theopenedproperty.
Workaround
The older menu still works fine: omarchy-menu toggle system (same command as the XF86PowerOff binding), so I rebound SUPER + CTRL + P to that locally.
