Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
Document: default binds already work in any keyboard layout

Original report
Observation from localizing keybindings to Russian: with the default input:resolve_binds_by_sym=false, Hyprland matches physical keys, so one bind (e.g. SUPER + V) fires in every layout — EN, RU, etc.
Russian users (me included) add duplicate per-layout binds (ALT + F + ALT + Cyrillic_a + caps variants) assuming keysyms are matched. They are harmless but redundant: switching the few letter binds to code: — or just knowing the default behavior — covers all layouts with a single bind (verified live for C/V/X-adjacent keys and file-manager/browser binds).
Suggestion: note this in the manual's hotkeys section (one bind covers all layouts unless the user enables resolve_binds_by_sym), so localizers and users stop duplicating binds per layout.
