Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

System details
Intel Core Ultra 7 165H, Intel Arc + NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada laptop, Omarchy 4.0.3-1
What's wrong?
What’s wrong?
Bar network icon shows disconnected while Wi-Fi is actually connected.
On a campus eduroam network (WPA2 802.1X, many BSSIDs) NetworkManager is fully up, but the bar
pill uses the disconnected glyph.
$ nmcli general status
connected full enabled ...
$ omarchy network status
wifi eduroam 42 5660.0 Expected: bar icon matches omarchy network status / NetworkManager (wifi connected, ~2 bars at
42%).
Steps:
- Connect to eduroam (or another 802.1X SSID with several APs) so nmcli shows connected.
- Leave the network panel closed.
- Look at the bar wifi icon — it stays disconnected.
- Opening the panel and clicking the network again runs connection up on an already-active
connection (reason 'new-activation'), which drops the live session for a couple of seconds.
The pill in shell/plugins/panels/network/Panel.qml sets kind from Quickshell’s scan-list
.connected flag, not from omarchy-network-status. That flag stays false here even though NM
has an active connection and IPv4 connectivity is full.
Don’t click the icon to “fix” it; that is what tears down the working association.
Image shows no WIFI, while the CLI commands report the connection
