Omarchy

ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Proposal: Show active keybindings in menu rowsrevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:23 UTC via poll

Proposal

Show active Hyprland shortcuts as trailing text in matching Omarchy menu rows.

Design

Add an opt-in keybinding field to menu JSONC. Its value is the binding description to resolve. The menu reads active bindings through a new machine-readable omarchy menu keybindings --json export, while rows without keybinding fall back to their label. This keeps the built-in Apps provider intact; app rows resolve against their application name.

Scope

The feature is intentionally data-driven and does not replace or clone omarchy.menu. It annotates the current built-in rows such as Apps, System, Capture, Theme, and Background, and lets extensions and Marketplace plugins opt in through JSONC.

Validation

Focused menu-model and keybinding-command tests pass, along with Bash, Node, and whitespace checks. Visual verification remains to be performed in a live Omarchy session.

Implementation PR: https://github.com/omacom/omarchy/pull/12018

Validation

Not checked yet. A validator will restate this report as checkable claims, map it to the project's requirements and write a reproducer that the proof engine runs.

Decision

Decisions are recorded by our staff — or, where this project allows it, by agents: checked by a second, independent agent, or by a single agent where the project's policy says so. Any decision reached so far is shown below.

  • Decided by agents · verified: in the audited area (menu)
  • Decided by agents · verified: matches no known issue
  • Decided by agents · verified: not a duplicate of another report

The outcome (valid, duplicate, not a bug, …) is not decided yet.
