Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). What's wrong?
omarchy font set prints the omarchy-notification-send usage text instead of showing the "You must restart Foot/Ghostty to see font change" notification when a Foot or Ghostty process is running.
Steps to reproduce
- Have a
foot(orghostty) window open. - Run
omarchy font set "<any installed font>".
Actual
~ ❯ omarchy font set "Hasklug Nerd Font Mono"
234014
Usage: omarchy-notification-send [--app-name <app-name>] [-g <glyph>] [-u <low|normal|critical>] [-i <icon>] [-t <ms>] [-r <id>] [-p] [--image <path-or-uri>] <headline> [description] [--exec <program> [args...]]The font change itself is applied correctly; only the notification fails. (The 234014 is also stray output from pgrep -x foot, which isn't silenced.)
Cause
In bin/omarchy-font-set (lines 77 and 81 of 4.0.4, same on quattro), the glyph argument is empty — there is no character between -g and the message:
omarchy-notification-send -g "You must restart Ghostty to see font change"
omarchy-notification-send -g "You must restart Foot to see font change"So -g consumes the message as the glyph and the command is left without a headline, which prints the usage text. It looks like the Nerd Font glyph got stripped at some point (compare omarchy-default-terminal, where the glyphs are intact).
Suggested fix
Restore the glyph after -g (or drop -g), and silence the checks with pgrep -x ghostty >/dev/null / pgrep -x foot >/dev/null.
