Proof Portal
Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.
Omerchy fails to start after booting the system on an Acer laptop.

What's wrong?
Hi everyone. I apologize in advance if this message is awkward to read, as I am using a translator.
I have an Acer Aspire 7 A715-59G-55GC laptop.
I’m installing Omarchy on it; after installation, it boots into the Omarchy environment, but after confirming the login, it proceeds to load and then nothing happens—it just drops me into a blank screen where I can only type. I tried booting with various parameters, and the only one that helped was "acpi=off," but using that setting prevents me from changing the screen refresh rate or brightness, and causes battery issues. I discussed this problem with ChatGPT, and it suggested updating the BIOS to the latest version: "The reason is that your Acer laptop's firmware (BIOS) provides incorrect ACPI tables (DSDT) to the Linux kernel. We can either force the system to work with them or replace them with corrected ones."
Please help me solve the problem.
