Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happened
Printing a 14-page PDF from Chromium's built-in PDF viewer sends CUPS a ~7.9 KB PDF with 0 pages, so nothing prints. CUPS reports the job as completed (page_log: total 0; access_log: Print-Job 7951 bytes). It failed 4 out of 4 times, both from the blob: viewer tab the site opened and after saving the PDF and opening the saved file in Chromium.
Expected
The PDF prints. The same file prints all 14 pages from Evince and with lp -o landscape -o fit-to-page file.pdf. Running it through cupsfilter with the queue's PPD also gives all 14 pages, so CUPS and the printer handle the file correctly.
The PDF (a bank statement, so I can't attach it)
- Creator/Producer: Ricoh Americas Corporation, AFP2PDF Plus 1.301.15
- PDF 1.4, 14 pages, page size 756 × 612 pt (landscape, not Letter)
- Non-embedded Helvetica Type 1 fonts, 1-bit stencil images
Other PDFs printed from Chromium the same day came out normally, so this file seems to trigger it.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open a PDF with the properties above in Chromium (built-in viewer).
2. Ctrl+P → Print to a CUPS IPP Everywhere queue.
3. Nothing comes out; CUPS shows a ~8 KB, 0-page job.
System
- Omarchy 4.0.0.r6720.g8e02fc8-1, Hyprland/Wayland
- chromium 153.0.8010.52-1 (Arch), started with Omarchy's --ozone-platform=wayland --ozone-platform-hint=wayland
- cups 2.4.20-1, libcupsfilters 2.2.1-2, cups-filters 2.0.1-3
- Printer: HP LaserJet MFP M234dw, IPP Everywhere (-m everywhere)
Not yet tested without the Wayland options, so this may be a Chromium bug rather than something in Omarchy's setup. I'm filing it here in case others hit it.
