Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
System details
Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X Plus X1P64100, LCD), Arch Linux Ports aarch64 with the linux-sp11 kernel repository (systemd-boot + UKI, no Limine), Omarchy 4.0.4-2 / omarchy-settings 4.0.4-6 from edge/aarch64
What's wrong?
initramfs build fails. omarchy-settings ships /etc/mkinitcpio.conf.d/omarchy_hooks.conf, which replaces HOOKS with the generic list (... plymouth ... encrypt ... btrfs-overlayfs). This machine has no btrfs-overlayfs hook (it doesn't boot Limine snapshots), so every initramfs rebuild after installing Omarchy fails:
==> ERROR: Hook 'btrfs-overlayfs' cannot be found
==> WARNING: errors were encountered during the build. The image may not be complete. The kernel package embeds that initramfs into its unified kernel image on the next kernel upgrade, so the machine would stop booting then. On quattro, 00-omarchy-hooks.conf still applies the same list to every platform except aarch64-apple.
Repository template (from reading the code, not run). On quattro, omarchy refresh pacman and install/post-install/pacman.sh copy default/pacman/aarch64/ (Arch Linux ARM) over /etc/pacman.conf on every aarch64 machine. On an Arch Linux Ports install this would remove the Ports repositories and the device's kernel repository.
Steps: install Omarchy on an aarch64 system that boots a UKI without Limine, then run sudo mkinitcpio -P.
Workaround: a later-sorting drop-in that restores the original HOOKS line.
A platform for this device (aarch64-surface, as AGENTS.md describes for new families) would cover both; I'll open a PR with that.
