ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Original report
What happened
With two Electron apps in the system tray (LM Studio and ChatGPT), pinning or hiding one of them in the tray manage popup always applies to both. They cannot be controlled individually.
Root cause
Both apps report the same StatusNotifierItem Id:
$ busctl --user get-property ':1.287' /StatusNotifierItem org.kde.StatusNotifierItem Id
s "chrome_status_icon_1"
$ busctl --user get-property ':1.213' /StatusNotifierItem org.kde.StatusNotifierItem Id
s "chrome_status_icon_1"(Titles are empty; tooltips differ: "LM Studio" vs "ChatGPT".)
shell/plugins/bar/widgets/Tray.qml keys everything off item.id alone:
classifyItem()buckets pinned/drawer/hidden by bare id- the manage popup rows derive
itemIdfrommodelData.id, so both rows show the same state togglePin(iid)/toggleHide(iid)persist the shared id
So any two apps with colliding tray ids (common for Electron/Chromium apps, which all default to chrome_status_icon_1) are forced to move together.
Expected
Pin/hide should apply to the individual tray item that was clicked.
Steps to reproduce
- Run two Electron apps that both register a tray icon (e.g. LM Studio + ChatGPT).
- Right-click the tray chevron to open the "Tray icons" manage popup.
- Click Hide (or Pin/Unpin) on one app's row.
- Both apps' icons are hidden/pinned/unpinned together.
Notes for a fix
Quickshell's SystemTrayItem exposes only id/title/icon/tooltipTitle/tooltipDescription/menu — there is no bus-name/object-path handle, so a composite key (e.g. id + tooltipTitle + title) is likely the most stable unique key available. Legacy bare-id entries in existing configs would need a fallback/split migration so current pins don't silently change meaning.

## What happened With two Electron apps in the system tray (LM Studio and ChatGPT), pinning or hiding one of them in the tray manage popup always applies to both. They cannot be controlled individually. ## Root cause Both apps report the same StatusNotifierItem `Id`: ``` $ busctl --user get-property ':1.287' /StatusNotifierItem org.kde.StatusNotifierItem Id s "chrome_status_icon_1" $ busctl --user get-property ':1.213' /StatusNotifierItem org.kde.StatusNotifierItem Id s "chrome_status_icon_1" ``` (Titles are empty; tooltips differ: "LM Studio" vs "ChatGPT".) `shell/plugins/bar/widgets/Tray.qml` keys everything off `item.id` alone: - `classifyItem()` buckets pinned/drawer/hidden by bare id - the manage popup rows derive `itemId` from `modelData.id`, so both rows show the same state - `togglePin(iid)` / `toggleHide(iid)` persist the shared id So any two apps with colliding tray ids (common for Electron/Chromium apps, which all default to `chrome_status_icon_1`) are forced to move together. ## Expected Pin/hide should apply to the individual tray item that was clicked. ## Steps to reproduce 1.
