Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
Omarchy version: 4.0.4-1 (stable channel)
What happened
The omarchy.power bar widget's manifest/catalog description says it shows "Battery, power profile, and system stats", and its Panel.qml does run an omarchy-system-stats process and store the result in a systemInfo property. However, systemInfo is never actually rendered anywhere in Panel.qml — the panel only ever shows Battery info (size, cycles, time left/to full, charge rate) and the Power profile picker (Power-saver / Balanced / Performance). No CPU or memory usage is displayed.
What I expected
The Power panel to show CPU and memory usage stats, as advertised in its own description and as fetched by the systemProc (omarchy-system-stats) process defined in the panel.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the Power panel from the bar (
omarchy-shell omarchy.power open, or click the battery/power icon in the bar). - Observe the panel only shows Battery details and Power profile buttons — no CPU or memory stats section.
Evidence
Screenshot of the panel attached — only Battery + Power profile sections are visible.
Relevant source (checked directly, on this machine):
- /usr/share/omarchy/shell/plugins/panels/power/Panel.qml — systemProc runs omarchy-system-stats and stores output into root.systemInfo (see updateKeyValue), but systemInfo has no corresponding UI element rendering it anywhere in the file.
- /usr/share/omarchy/shell/plugins/panels/power/manifest.json and the plugin catalog both describe the widget as showing "Battery, power profile, and system stats".
Debug log generated with omarchy-debug --no-sudo --print (saved locally at /tmp/omarchy-debug.log, available on request).
