Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happened
PrintScreen → crop a region → click the “Screenshot saved to clipboard” notification to edit. Tensaku (tensaku-edit, Omarchy’s default OMARCHY_SCREENSHOT_EDITOR) opens, but almost every toolbar icon is GTK’s missing-icon glyph (circle with a slash). Hover still works; Line is the only obvious labeled control.
This is a Tensaku packaging/theme-lookup bug (Fluent names like pen-regular-symbolic are inside the binary but never installed into the GTK icon theme). Opening a matching report on https://github.com/jondkinney/tensaku as well.
Omarchy is the place users hit it: first-run sets org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme to Yaru-blue, and themes such as Miasma use Yaru-wartybrown. Neither theme contains those Fluent symbolic names.
Expected
The annotation toolbar shows real tool icons, same as Tensaku screenshots in the upstream README.
Repro
- Omarchy 4.0.3, default screenshot flow (
omarchy-capture-screenshot→tensaku-edit). - Icon theme Yaru-blue (or Yaru-wartybrown).
- Open the editor from the clipboard notification.
Workaround (user-space)
Install Tensaku’s bundled SVGs into the current theme overlay, e.g. ~/.local/share/icons/Yaru-blue/scalable/actions/*.svg. Not durable across theme switches unless each Yaru variant is overlaid.
Possible Omarchy-side mitigations
- Ship or depend on the Fluent symbolic icons Tensaku expects, or
- Note in capture docs that Tensaku needs those icons on Yaru, or
- Wait for Tensaku to
gtk_icon_theme_add_resource_paththe in-binary GResource (preferred upstream fix).
Environment
- Omarchy 4.0.3-1
- tensaku 0.29.0-1
- gtk4 4.22.4
- NVIDIA GA106 / Hyprland / Wayland
gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme→Yaru-blue
