Description

Omawrite (the default Markdown viewer) instantly crashes on launch due to a Wayland portal ID conflict.
Because of a secondary issue where xdg-open ignores Terminal=true under generic DEs like Hyprland, this crash happens entirely silently in the background when users try to open Markdown links from their terminal.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. In a terminal like foot, use URL mode to click/open a link to a .md file.
  2. Nothing appears to happen.
  3. Running omawrite file.md directly in a terminal reveals the crash:

qt.qpa.services: Failed to register with host portal QDBusError("org.freedesktop.portal.Error.Failed", "Could not register app ID...")

Expected Behavior

  1. Omawrite should successfully launch its GUI.
  2. xdg-open should correctly spawn a terminal emulator when opening a file whose default handler has Terminal=true.
