Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happened?
When clicking a systray icon (Discord, Steam, or Zen Browser) shortly after login, omarchy-shell completely freezes. This causes an exclusive input grab, making it impossible to click the menu bar or use any window manager keyboard shortcuts.
What was expected?
The systray icon should open its context menu or window without freezing the shell.
Steps to reproduce
- Log into the system
- Have Discord, Steam, and Zen Browser launching at startup or launch them immediately.
- Click one of their systray icons while they are finishing their launch sequence.
- The system input completely freezes (both mouse clicks on the bar and Hyprland shortcuts stop responding).
System details
- Omarchy version: 4.0.2-1
- Journal error at time of freeze:
Sep 07 14:33:14 omarchy omarchy-shell[1854]: WARN qt.qpa.services: Failed to register with host portal QDBusError("org.freedesktop.portal.Error.Failed", "Could not register app ID: Connection already associated with an application ID")
