Omarchy
ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirementsA proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Original report
What happens: rog-control-center (6.3.8-1 from the omarchy repo) crashes with SIGSEGV every time it is exited via the in-app "Exit" option. Omarchy shows a crash notification each time.
Expected: clean exit.
Reproduction (100%):
1. Launch rog-control-center (gtk-launch rog-control-center.desktop)
2. Click "Exit" inside the app
3. Process dies with SIGSEGV; core is recorded by systemd-coredump
Evidence: Two separate cores (PIDs 23471, 24393) show an identical stack: the smithay-clipboa worker thread segfaults inside wl_display_read_events (libwayland-client.so.0 + 0x83c9) while the main thread is already in exit() tearing down the NVIDIA EGL context (libEGL_nvidia / libnvidia-eglcore.so.610.57.04). This is a shutdown race between the smithay-clipboard worker thread and Wayland display teardown — an upstream asusctl bug, not an Omarchy configuration issue.
Kernel log for both crashes:
smithay-clipboa[24447]: segfault at ... ip ... error 4 in libwayland-client.so.0.26.0[83c9,...]Note: the rog-control-center package ships no debug symbols on debuginfod, so the in-binary frames could not be symbolized; the faulting frame is resolved (wl_display_read_events), the rest of the stack is identical across both cores (rog-control-center + 0x12c3384, + 0x12c353a, ...).
Why I'm reporting here: Omarchy pins rog-control-center at 6.3.8-1 in its repo, while upstream (OpenGamingCollective/asusctl) is at 6.4.0 (released 2026-08-14), with several rog-control-center crash fixes across 6.3.9–6.4.0. Updating the packaged version would likely resolve this for all Omarchy users on ASUS laptops. Upstream's issue tracker restricts issue creation, so reporting here is the practical path.
System: Omarchy 4.0.2-1, ASUS ROG laptop, NVIDIA driver 610.57.04, Hyprland (Wayland). No OOM, no other crashes on the system; the crash is harmless in practice (process had already exited, no data lost) but generates a crash notification on every quit.
