ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

Bug: “Launching X...” notification never disappears

What happened

The Omarchy shell displays a 🚀 Launching X... notification/toast, but it remains on screen indefinitely instead of disappearing after the launch completes. The screenshot shows the stuck notification over the X web app.

Expected behavior

The “Launching X...” notification should dismiss automatically once X has launched (or after its normal timeout).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch X through Omarchy.
  2. Wait for X to finish loading.
  3. Observe that the “Launching X...” notification remains visible indefinitely.

System details

  • Omarchy: 4.0.2-1

I also restarted the Omarchy shell and rescanned shell plugins while investigating; the issue was reported from the original capture.
