A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

[Bug] Window misalignment/offset when dragging to a different workspace via mouserevision 1 · captured 2026-09-28 21:29 UTC via poll

System details

i5-1335U, Intel Iris Xe, Omarchy 3.4.2, Hyprland 0.54.2

What's wrong?

When grabbing a window using the MainMod + Right Click (resize/move) and switching workspaces simultaneously, the window fails to align correctly with the new workspace. Instead of filling the workspace or snapping to the grid, the window appears offset, causing it to bleed off the edge of the monitor on one side while leaving a gap on the other.

Steps to Reproduce:

Focus an application window.

Press and hold MainMod + Right Click to grab/move the window.

While holding the grab, scroll

to switch to a different workspace.

Release the mouse button.

Observed behavior: The window is positioned incorrectly relative to the screen boundaries.

Expected Behavior:
The window should either snap to the center/tiling grid of the new workspace or maintain its relative position within the screen boundaries without bleeding off the edge.

Additional Context:
This behavior suggests that the coordinate system isn't being refreshed or recalculated correctly during the workspace "jump" while a mouse-move operation is active.
