ProbeLabs65 findings · 95 requirements

A proof layer — requirements, tests and verified fixes — for two of Omarchy's subsystems: the application menu (launcher scripts, QML model, JSONC config, search and selection) and the lock screen (lock scripts, QML, PAM authentication). Scope is deliberately limited to those components of omacom/omarchy; the rest of the distribution is not covered.

What's wrong?

When using the scroller layout, after maximizing the focused column with scroller:fitsize visible (bound to SUPER + ALT + F), I'm no longer able to switch focus to adjacent columns using scroller:movefocus l / scroller:movefocus r (bound to SUPER + Left / SUPER + Right). The keybinds simply do nothing while the column is in this maximized/fit state.

Navigation works normally when the column is not occupying the full width of the screen — the issue only happens after triggering the "maximize" fit.

Steps to reproduce

Open at least 2-3 windows in the scroller layout so there are multiple columns
Focus one column and maximize it with SUPER + ALT + F (scroller:fitsize visible)
Try to switch to an adjacent column with SUPER + Left or SUPER + Right (scroller:movefocus l/r)
Nothing happens — focus stays locked on the maximized column
Un-maximizing (pressing SUPER + ALT + F again) restores normal column navigation

Environment

Hyprland 0.56.2 (built from branch v0.56.2, commit efb50993780079460b0cbed1363e2166a2de1d9f)
hyprctl plugin list shows no plugins loaded (so this appears to be Omarchy's built-in scroller layout, not a third-party plugin)
Installed via Omarchy on CachyOS (Arch-based)

Question

Is this expected behavior with fitsize visible, or is this a bug? Is it possible to fix/work around this so columns remain navigable even when one is maximized?
